Dixon Riverfront

For those of you who have not been back to Dixon for awhile, these are pictures of the South Riverbank. The riverbank was constructed with matching federal funds with one exception, the statue and mounting base. This was a gift from 13 individual or group contributors.
Tom Shaw, Jim Hey and Linda May Green Hanson are three people directly responsible for bringing the statue to fruition. It has already had a great impact on the city as many people visit the riverbank daily and a taking pictures mainly of the statue. So when you see one of these people please thank them for their time and efforts and contributions towards making this project a reality.  This area was quite a hit last summer during the 4th of July when Mumford & Sons were here for a concert.
