I have a picture of Joe, along with Norm Griser, Mike Wadsworth, and myself in the basement of my house on Cooper Street. We had our drums, saxaphone and clarinet all fired up for our never famous junk-yard band!! I also remember Joe in Washington School as being one hell of an artist---he could draw anything and draw so unbelievably well! Rest in peace, Mr Covert!
I wonder what would have happened if our little band continued to practice and one day record our music. Perhaps today we would have had contracts with Capital records! Rest in peace Joe. MW
